Oréll Language Lab at Palamuru University, Telangana

Palamuru University, one of the leading universities in Telangana, has opted for Oréll Talk Digital Language Laboratory to give premium training to students in English language. Oréll Talk-S2, standard version of the software was installed at the academy by Mr. Shajan Dinesh, the Technical Support Executive at Oréll. One teacher console and thirty-four student consoles were set up in the language room. The senior language trainer of the institute certified that the software functions and specifications are really useful and helpful for teaching languages. Oréll language lab installed at the university empowers the language instructors to work with the existing study materials or to create interactive lessons and activities that suit the syllabus of the course. The learners can access the assignments and work at their own pace. Teachers can also assign media for group activity. The system helps in increasing productivity, improving quality of instruction and foster professional development. Palamuru University, located at Mahabubnagar town of Telangana State, was established in the year 2008 as a State University by statutory enactment to cater to the growing requirements of Higher Education of the region in general, and of Mahabubnagar district, in particular. The University, with its significant focus to develop the drought-prone and poverty-stricken rural communites, started functioning from the academic year 2008-09 with the then PG College of Osmania University at Mahabubnagar as the nucleus, wherein five PG courses were being offered.
